đź’” What Self-Love Looks Like When You're Still Healing

Some days, self-love looks like glowing skin, fresh sheets, and that feeling of “I’ve got this.”

But other days?

It looks like puffy eyes, a messy house, and just getting out of bed when everything hurts.

If you’ve ever felt like you can’t “fully love yourself” because you’re still broken, still triggered, still healing—I want you to know this:

Self-love isn’t a destination. It’s a relationship.
And like any relationship, it has its beautiful highs… and its honest lows.

🌿 Self-Love in the Middle of the Mess

This season, I’ve been loving myself through:

  • Wiping my tears instead of hiding them

  • Speaking gently to my inner critic

  • Letting go of people who couldn’t love me without conditions

  • Celebrating small wins (like putting on real pants)

  • Saying “I’m doing my best” when I really, truly am

It hasn’t been pretty. But it’s been real.

And real love? That’s the kind that heals.

🩶 Loving Yourself When It Feels Hard

Here’s what I remind myself on the hardest days:

  • You don’t have to be fully healed to be worthy of love.

  • You don’t have to be productive to be valuable.

  • You don’t have to feel confident to be brave.

Your softness is not a flaw.
Your struggle is not a failure.
Your journey is still beautiful, even in the in-between.

✨ A Gentle Practice for Today

Write this on a sticky note. Put it on your mirror. Say it out loud:

“I’m still healing. I still love me.”

You don’t have to fake it. You don’t have to fix it all.
Just be with yourself. That’s love in action.

You are doing so much better than you think.
And every moment you choose to keep going—that’s a victory.

đź’« A Note About Complete Care: Just as we learn to love ourselves through healing, we can also love ourselves by ensuring we're protected for tomorrow. Self-love includes creating safety nets that catch us when life gets challenging - because we deserve to feel secure even while we're growing.

Remember: Protection is a form of self-love too. You deserve to feel safe - both emotionally and financially.
